Thursday Night Kids Class

The kids class has grown tremendously in the last few months! Just over a year ago we only had about 4 or 5 kids on the weekdays, today there were about 25. We are very thankful you chose The Stronghold and that you all are such supportive parents!

Javen and Alyssa were promoted to the rank of yellow belt today! They have been working very hard recently and went through a TOUGH training session today. The Stronghold family is so proud of them! Congratulations!

JIU JITSU!!!

This isn't a BRAND new result but I just wanted to post it up for anyone that missed it. ADCC Champion and BJJ World Champion Fabricio Werdum defeats Fedor by triangle choke!

"Fight Gone Bad!"

Three rounds of:
Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20" box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute.The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

Kettlebelles

I probably had my biggest strength gains with kettlebells, deadlifts and squats. I am going to have the 6pm strength and conditioning class do more work with kettlebells very soon!
