Yesterday we went to the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (mcasd.org) in Downtown to see the "Octagon" Gallery by Kevin Lynch. Kevin Lynch is a photographer who took photos of UFC fighter before and after their fights. The gallery is impressive, with wall to wall photos of fighters. We encourage you to visit the museum! His gallery will be showing until September 27. The museum is free for ages 25 and under and $10 for regular admission. You'll probably spend about 15-20 minutes at the most in the Octagon gallery but you're free to see the other exhibits as well while you're there.

Fight Gone Bad

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. We've used this in 3 and 5 round versions. The stations are:

  1. Wall-ball: 20 pound ball, 10 ft target. (Reps)
  2. Sumo deadlift high-pull: 75 pounds (Reps)
  3. Box Jump: 20" box (Reps)
  4. Push-press: 75 pounds (Reps)
  5. Row: calories (Calories)

If you haven't been to the Del Mar Fair (yes, it's called SD Fair now but Native San Diegans know it as Del Mar), tomorrow is the last day! We were able to go last week and it's the one day of the year for Deep Fried yummies. Fried Twinkie or Fried Smores Fran sound like a good idea to you?
